OLYMPIC GYM RULES

Your membership is subject to your good behavior within the gym. If you at any time fail to observe the gym rules, we may ask you to leave the gym or terminate your membership on reasonable grounds at any time. You must be courteous to other members and respect their personal space when working out.

All members must respect the equipment and facilities You are responsible for using our facilities correctly. If you are not sure how to operate any exercise equipment, please ask our staff during staffed hours. Please ask our staff before you use it. If a piece of equipment breaks or you find it broken, please advise staff during staffed hours or email us at reception@olympicgym.co.nz

  • Please note that you will be responsible for any damage that you cause through a wilful act or negligence

  • ‌As a member our expectation is that you at all times take care of the facilities and leave them in a clean and tidy state.

  • ‌All members must be respectful of other members, we will not tolerate intimidation, harassment or discrimination in any form whatsoever.

  • ‌Your belongings are your responsibility please do not bring valuables to the gym.

Under no circumstances are you to ever let anyone into the Olympic Gym by any means including using your membership tag. This will incur a $250 fine that must be paid with 5 workings days should you do so. Furthermore, should any damage occur by a person either accidental or intentional that you have allowed into the Olympic Gym you are responsible for all costs of repair or replacement that has occurred from that person.‌

The following gym basics also apply

· No exercises you can get pinned beneath without a training partner i.e. bench press.

· Wipe down gear after use.

· Put weights away and equipment away after use.

· No one is permitted to remove equipment from the premises you will be charged with theft should you do so

· You may not enter the facility if you are unwell or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

· Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere on the premises.

· Only licensed Olympic Gym personal trainers are permitted to take members for personal training services.

· Do not drop your weights

· No food or inappropriate drinks on the gym floor

· Emergency exits are alarmed and if opened will activate the alarm. Use of these exits for non-emergency will incur a $150 call out fee for the person opening the exit.

· All gang paraphernalia is prohibited at all times at Olympic Gym

· The gym machines are not armchairs and holding up someone else’s workout while you play with your phone is simply not on. Put your phone down or go and do it somewhere else.

-Tripods and bags are a potential trip hazard and as such are not permitted on the gym floor without the written permission from management. If you wish to use a tripod in the gym email us at reception@olympicgym.co.nz so we can consider your request. Please put your bags in the bag rack and do not bring valuables to the gym.

Note the Olympic gym reserves the right to change or amend these rules at any time. Failure to abide by these rules may lead to unstaffed access being denied or your membership being terminated.

Olympic Gym is a happy friendly place bring a good and respectful attitude, train sensibly, abide by the gym rules so that everyone can enjoy our awesome facility.
